SanAir’s Material Science Testing division helps clients uncover the origin of fires (including wildfires), material failures, and insurance claims.

SanAir tests metals in dust wipes, paint chips, soil, and bulk and air samples for the presence of toxic heavy metals by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (FLAAS) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES).

SanAir’s Specialty Environmental Testing division takes a comprehensive approach to tracing the root cause of odor issues, including providing clients with best practices for sampling.

SanAir’s Asbestos Laboratory is credentialed to identify all forms of regulated asbestos in air, dust, water, soil, vermiculite, rocks, and bulk samples in accordance with EPA, NIOSH, AHERA, NYELAP, ASTM, and CARB standards / guidance, among others using Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM), Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM), and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) as prescribed by method.

SanAir’s Sustainable Air Quality team provides a simple and streamlined testing option for LEED® (v3.2, v4, v4.1, as well as upcoming v5), WELL®, IAQP and IgCC® certifications.

SanAir operates a state-of-the-art microbiological analysis laboratory. We are equipped to analyze viable and non-viable air, bulk, and direct surface samples. We can identify more than 700 contaminants including mold, fungi, bacteria, and non-microbial particulates.

SanAir’s Specialty Environmental division has a national reputation for vapor intrusion testing, gained by working with New York State to develop and implement the NYSDOH Soil Vapor Intrusion Guidance beginning in 2003. To this day, the NYSDOH Vapor Intrusion Guidance is regarded as one of the most recognized documents relevant to Vapor Intrusion Sampling and Analysis.

The SanAir Technologies Laboratory division possesses significant expertise in the sampling and analysis of various air pollutants, including Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Utilizing cutting-edge GC-MS and cryo-focusing technologies, we provide reliable confirmation and exceptional sensitivity in our results.

SanAir’s Specialty Environmental Testing division includes Industrial Hygiene (IH) and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) project specialists who help clients from initial surveys through certification of completion. Our specialty sampling system features canisters designed for rapid sampling in industrial settings.

Our Legionella Detection Program (an inclusive system approach) is performed using conventional culture method with multiple selective media, DFA confirmations, and latex agglutination to identify isolates as Legionella pneumophila or other Legionella species with a high accuracy.

SanAir’s Sustainable Air Quality team facilitates renewable energy project operation and compliance through biogas matrix analysis testing. Our work includes analyzing landfill gas (LFG) emissions associated with waste-to-energy production.
