RICHMOND, Va., March 5, 2012 — SanAir Technologies Laboratory, a Virginia-based national environmental testing company, announced today that it has been approved for lead testing by the American Industrial Hygiene Association, the nation’s premier organization for occupational and environmental health and safety professionals.
“Following several months of review by outside experts and extensive onsite visitations, our achievement of lead accreditation will enable us to expand our national expertise in environmental testing considerably,” said SanAir President Sean McGlynn. “Since our founding in 2003 we have grown to successful national recognition for our work in identifying and isolating fungi and other potentially dangerous pathogens in public venues such as shopping malls, hospitals and schools.
“Now with AIHA’s coveted Laboratory Accreditation Program in lead, we will be able to expand into additional venues, especially among industrial concerns,” McGlynn said.e.
Founded in 1939, the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) is the premier
association of occupational and environmental health and safety professionals. AIHA’s 10,077
members play a crucial role on the front line of worker health and safety every day. Members
represent a cross-section of industry, private business, labor, government and academia.
