The National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), administered by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), represents the highest standards for the asbestos testing industry. SanAir is fully accredited by NVLAP for Airborne Asbestos Fiber Analysis (TEM) and Bulk Asbestos Fiber Analysis (PLM).

A laboratory is required to become certified under VELAP if the laboratory is providing air, waste, or water data to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), or if the laboratory does analysis for a client that provides data to DEQ.
