Division Of Consolidated Laboratory ServicesThe VELAP is based upon the standards of NELAC or the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference. A laboratory is required to become certified under VELAP if the laboratory is providing air, waste, or water data to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), or if the laboratory does analysis for a client that provides data to DEQ.
