The Lab Intake Support professional prepares hemp and hemp-derived samples for instrumental analysis using techniques in compliance with established laboratory Quality Assurance programs and Standard Operating Procedures. This position is the first link in the analysis chain, responsible for preparing and weighing samples and distributing to other departments (metals, micro, etc.). Depending on the type of sample, this can be straightforward or present challenges (samples can be sticky, etc.).
Shift
- Fulltime position in the lab, 35 – 40 hours/week
- Must be available to work overtime and occasional weekends as necessary
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Some laboratory experience preferred
- Extreme attention to detail and comfort working according to established processes
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Problem-solving approach to work and ability to work under time pressure
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Capable of adjusting to rapidly changing priorities
- Desire to learn and increase level of responsibility
- Proficient in data entry and review
- Capable of clearing background check (we are DEA-registered)
Responsibilities
- Grind, homogenize, weigh samples and distribute material to other departments as necessary
- Maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures and Chains of Custody
- Label and store samples
- Maintain the cleanliness of the sample preparation work area in accordance with lab and federal requirements
- Other duties as assigned
